Have you ever considered allowing tabs to be uploaded that are not made with Guitar Pro ie Power Tab Editor?
We don't have such plans right now. Power Tab Editor is not widely used right now. You can use TuxGuitar to convert PowerTab files to Guitar Pro format. By the way, TuxGuitar is free.
